BioKube summerhouse wastewater systems
It is generally assumed that Biological wastewater treatment systems are problematic in summer houses and vacation hotels with seasonal low occupancy. This is because the assumption is that the bacteria will die if there are long periods with no incoming wastewater (i.e. no nourishment for the bacteria).
BioKube’s patented technology solves this problem by repeated recirculating treated wastewater to the septic tank. This ensures nourishment to the bacteria in low season periods.
BioKube has certification for use in summerhouses
Summerhouse systems can adjust energy after use.
BioKube technology makes it possible for a small wastewater system to go in “Energy Save Mode” if there is no occupancy in the house.
In “Energy Saving Mode” the power consumption is reduced by 80 % because the blowers and recirculation only run 6 times ½ hour during a full 24 hour day period.
Moen camping, Denmark
The system delivered in 2015 is a 3 x Jupiter 50 system.
Being a campsite, there great variations in the amount of incoming water. As part of our service BioKube adjusts the system configuration of timers to save energy according to amount of people using the system. This is done remotely via GSM and it is a service BioKubes national partners can also offer.
BioKube Greywater systems
In summer houses, it is in some countries common to use Greywater systems.
In a Greywater system only the grey water is treated. The black water is either collected in a storage tank or treated on site for instance in a traditional latrine.
Simoni Camping, Croatia
Simoni is a large Camp site.
The BioKube system delivered in 2014 is a 4 x BioReactor 150 treating 500 m3 per day.
Simoni Camping, Croatia
Simoni is a large Camp site.
The BioKube system delivered in 2014 is a 4 x BioReactor 150 treating 500 m3 per day.
The system is installed directly by the beach close to the public and the treated clean water is discharged to the sea.
BioKube ETV Verification
BioKube has ETV (Environmental Technology Verification) for the use of BioKube in summerhouses.
With the ETV, it is verified that a BioKube system will fulfill the outlet requirements even if there has been no incoming sewage water (i.e. no nourishment to the bacteria) in the preceding 6 months with no occupancy.
In the winter the system registers that there is no incoming water and automatically goes in “Save Energy Mode” where there is a reduction of power consumption of 80 %.
Why choose BioKube?
Documented to work in summerhouses
BioKube patented technology solves the problems with large seasonal variations in the incoming water
In hotels and resorts, reuse the treated water
Hotels are often located in dry areas. Reuse of the treated wastewater reduces the strain on the available amount of water.
