     One example of this are the many factories within the food industry presently moving from the “old” EU countries to the new member states in Eastern Europe. Due to the much higher labor costs in Western Europe the part of the agricultural industry requiring much labor such as growing and picking berries and fruits are moving to Eastern Europe. Consequently the factories required in the production of the end products are moving to Eastern Europe. The new countries naturally require that the new production facilities clean their sewage water. Part of this investment can be financed via EU funds.

     This market is quite large.
     In Poland alone the market over the next 5 years is estimated at 5.000 new factories with an average daily wastewater production of 300 – 500 m3.
